Elero rolling door drives are maintenance free threephase AC motors with a worm drive gearbox. In the event of a power failure or a defect the drive can be operated manually by means of an emergency hand crank or chain depending upon the particular configuration (not for long-term use). All electrical wires to the motor are equipped with plug-in connections.

Chainwheel drives WKM/DKM (ZE)
An in-built safety brake is not permitted to be the safety device when used with a chainwheel drive. In accordance with BG Guideline ZH 1/494 an independently functioning safety brake must be used (for selection see technical data for safety brakes).

Installation of the chainwheel drive

» Fix roller shutter curtain to the roller tube.
» Install control box in the vicinity of the door
» Insert limit switch cable from the control unit in
   the limit switch casing of the drive! Do not push
   on cover yet.
